I need a paper to reference rearfoot angle to classificate the rearfoot as pronated, supinated or neutral.
Can´t find it. Could somebody help me?
    Thank you so much!

  2. HI Isabela Not really sure why you want to look at the foot that way - but it is all in here "Normal and abnormal function of the foot (Clinical biomechanics)" Root et al

What I would suggest is reading this not that Root et al would not be a great read but I beleive STJ axis is a better way to go re STJ
Biomechanics of the Normal and Abnormal Foot KEVIN A. KIRBY, DPM

and read these threads - STJ axis threads

    Good luck

    Mike,
Thank you very much for your help. We don´t have access to this book (Clinical Biomechanics) and in the paper you referenced there are not the angles values (numbers).
    Any other suggestion?

  4. Isabela 1st A bit rude of me to forget :welcome: to the arena

Root et al wrote their text Normal and abnormal function of the foot (Clinical biomechanics) and this where the Rearfoot angle theory came from,I don´t know of a paper which goes over the theory as the text does it.

The other reading was a suggestion that Rearfoot angles are not the most up to date way of looking at the foot.

If you really want rearfoot angle references I would suggest going to the source and purchase the book.
