We had a case of a traumatic amputation of a forefoot secondary to a lawnmower accident. As opposed to a skin graft, we used VAC therapy. Although timely, the entire wound granulated and healed in three months. The trauma was akin to a trans-met amputation. It was intilially surgically debrided at first. We are currently attempting to publish this case.
