The following are my most urgent pains:

thinned and moved-out-of-place fat pad extremely painful - in the lateral mid-foot and metatarsal areas only. this has hurt constantly when standing (worst) or walking (still very bad) for the past 35 years, dating back to before my first surgery.

falling suddenly on my face when striking a tiny irregularity in the pedestrian walkway, I'm rather sure is due to surgically flattened (100%) feet where one great toe fails to touch the ground at all, so I am never able to roll off, just go stomp stomp stomp, and apparently too close to the ground.

I hope there is some professional help I can consult with. Is there a specialty of physical therapy that can affect my gait mechanism in a good way? Do I just need a trained person to watch me walk and make observations?

I am doing work on balance, but often the problem was not a matter of balance. I am increasing large muscle strength at the gym too, to help me catch myself when possible and not go all the way down. I have the best podiatrist I've ever had in my life and he has warned me never to walk again as my primary exercise.

I am brand new 2/22/17 to this forum and if anyone with any suggestions is reading this, please convey them to me. Thank you.
