A little bird was telling me the Government are poised after the UK election to announce increased scope of practice to HPC registrants including prescription rights.

    Come on, tell all

    prescription rights

I will believe it when I see it, though if it is true it will be a fantastic move. but I have been hearing rumours like this for at least 8 years some probably even longer.

Lets hope it happens, I won't hold my breath. likely music therapists will be able to prescribe before Pods.

The Society, MHRA and the HPC are all remaining vague on this issue.
The profession of podiatry will remain in the backwater until it gets better representation, and better communication between its members.
