You've got to love the media, never a bandwagon goes by without somebody jumping on it.

I was curious when i read this as to the identity of this new "superbug". I'd heard of MRSA. I'd heard of VRSA. Never heard of MSSA. A swift search revealed the acronym "methacillin SENSITIVE staph aureus":hammer:

Forgive me if i'm being picky but thats not really a superbug then is it? More a... well its a bug. Just a garden variety staph infection. Nasty to be sure, fatal even sometimes. But not a superbug and not a Mutant strain of MRSA. Shame really. If it was and we could persuade ALL MRSA to take a snake down on the evolutionary game of adders and ladders it would be a fine thing. :craig:

The sad thing is that Joe public who is exposed to this kind of misinformation could well be scared by it. Which, of course, is the intention.

    Vexing
