Are there really jobs out there?

I only ask as I was put off coming last year watching an episode of Wanted down under(uk programme)- where a qualified uk pod was looking to immigrate to Aus, I remember the local pod team she spent the day with there saying ' there really arn't any jobs here'! As if they were trying to put her off (not in a malicious way I might add)

This has had me looking into other potential countries to work in I.e Canada, but legislations are quite tough on uk qualified pods.

Aus would definitely be an option, if I knew there were jobs out there. I have no preferences where, I'm young and driven. I would just like to work somewhere for 12monhs to gain experience abroad - and then who knows!!

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks
    Sara

Thanks for the repy. However, Somthing I have already been doing, including emailing to Job advertisements. I feel it may be like the uk though - plenty of jobs advertised, with high applicant rate and most wanting minimum 12month experience, so the more experienced get the jobs first.

I will keep on the look out.

    Thanks
