    Im looking for a surgery reference book and have been recommended 2 but I can only afford one as they are expensive, so which would be the best one to get? The 2 books are:

    1. Surgery of the Foot and Ankle by Coughlin
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Surgery-Foo...=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1233943535&sr=8-2

    2. McGlamry's Comprehensive Textbook of Foot and Ankle Surgery
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/McGlamrys-C...r_1_16?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1233943535&sr=8-16

    All opinions welcome

    I don't know how any holy trinity of podiatric-related texts cannot include;

    Fundamentals of Pedicure and Nail Polish Application, by Sinnical & Lying

    I'm sure our GP friends think that is all that we need on our shelves...

    Mc Glamry is the undisputed best textbook ever. Picked mine up from amazon for £220 approx 7 years ago.
    Whilst not being surgical based myself, it covers most foot/ankle pathology in great depth thus is useful for Dx purposes

    I did buy McGlamrys and they are excellent text books, I managed to get both textbooks for £100 on amazon and would thoroughly recommend them
