    Hi ALL
I hear that Boots are moving from chiropody into sex aids!
Is this a new trend? Should we follow; Hmm? silicone? yes creams? yes massage? yes Bio-mech assesment? should be much more interesting!!!
    Love the site
    Regards
    Chris

    Boots footcare not sold

    evnin all

Boots annouced today that they had not found a buyer for their Footcare service & it will still close 31/12/04.

They have stated that Podiatrists can purchase equipment but are not allowed to access the patient lists & must only contact patients through Boots.

Having worked for them for a couple of years I feel that it is a shame that things have turned out the way they have. In essence we have been sacrificed as a result of the failure of Dentistry. Our returns alone are not enough to keep us running separately & it would seem the business is worth little without Dentistry involved.

Overall, although it was by no means perfect, our service was popular & was paying for itself in less than 5 years. In different circumstances, things may have worked out differently.

    Patient lists

As an extention to this, it would appear that other service providers will be allowed access to patient lists & records. This seems abit unfair, how come their is one rule for one set of providers & another for Podiatrists?
