    Hi,

I have been asked to provide a patients complete record onto a cd rom in pdf format which requires a software analyst who will have to extract it from our podiatry software. My question is do the lawyers who are asking for this information generally pay for the cost of compiling this data or not? It's estimated to be around $300 to extract!

    Thankyou

As far As I know, you are entitled to a fee this; but might depend where you are from.

However, suggest you contact your professional association for advice on that. This is what they are there for.

Tell them that's the fee, and if they don't want to pay they can send someone along to get this from the system.
