I seem to be subjected to some onerous penance for past deeds in the form of regular unsolicited emails from Professor Rhubarb and his magic insoles. The latest - headed as the title of this thread - concerns the treatment of a Down's Syndromme child - the evidence of success - the by now ubiquitous before and after photograph. Isn't he a marvel?

    OMG!
Unsolicited emails = spam; so to his long list of self proclaimed credentials, we can now add "spammer"

I was under the impression that it is considered appropriate to annonymise photographs of patients by at least blanking the eye area. Perhaps this could have been carried out at the same time as the child was instructed to close her mouth?

  7. Correct. It's amazing how the head tends to move forward when one opens the mouth wide enough. That's jaw dropping information (I hear you say as you head-butt me). What do I know about reliability in research methods anyway? I'm just a PhD, while he's a fully blown professor...

    BTW lovin' the tags.
