    The Role and the team:
    Reporting to the Manager-Podiatry, this is a level 1-2 podiatrist position providing outpatient and community outreach services with a focus on high risk foot conditions and acute foot problems. The service also provides biomechanical, nail surgery paediatric, and dermatological lower limb services, including provision of orthotics and use of F-Scan plantar pressure mapping equipment.

    The podiatry team is largely based in Devonport, North West Tasmania and consists of the Manager, High Risk Foot Specialist, Senior and level 1-2 Podiatrists and an Allied Health Assistant. Various members within the podiatry team hold their Endorsement for use of Scheduled Medicines which is incorporated into the scope of service provided. The podiatry team works collaboratively with the wider Allied Health, Nursing and Medical services and holds multidisciplinary clinics across various areas.

    Details of Appointment
    Fixed Term Full Time Day Worker position working 76 hours per fortnight until September 2022
    Salary: $62,601-$95,776 per annum + 10% superannuation + access to salary packaging
    Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
    Registered with the Podiatry Board of Australia
    Current Working with Children Registration or Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People
    Applicants for any position within the Department of Health must be prepared to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of their employment.
