Hello all, I guess this is a way to vent some frustration and distance myself from certain disreputable parties operating in the world of podiatry. I was previously involved in a certain less than scrupulous company that is neither caring nor professional and it seems that from my previous involvement my reputation has been tarnished irredeemably. As a result I have decided to engage myself in fields not associated with the realm of podiatry and would like to think that the friends that I have made whilst working in this industry will remain so, Kind Regards,

I'm sorry to hear that. The worst case i've experienced was here in canberra ten years ago, a private group headed by two podiatrists, interviewed by one was told one thing, they never came through with his promise, the other one gets back from os and 'releases' me, obviously 'right' not telling 'left' what was offered / promised. I heard 'left' had moved to sydney/gold coast? soon thereafter. 'Right' still has his group but sooo many bad stories. Anyone interested in working privately in canberra, there's still plenty of scope and if interested i'll pm you with who "right" is.

thanks Mark, It's very apparent that there are many good and fair podiatrists working today and the industry is a much better place for this reason amongst many others. I take full responsibility for chosing to associate with one particular individual in the past and hope that no other people will fall for his machiavellian manipulations. I will stay active on this forum and will also be happy to advise others too Mark about who the "right" and "wrong" are. Since I have no vested interest in the advice I shall be giving, I hope to perhaps restore some trust in my previously "good" name . Cheers, Paul Quirk.

Sorry to hear that you have decided to leave the industry. If its any consolation at all to you I always thought you were the odd one out in that group.

Podiatry can be a funny profession. I too have encountered some unscrupulous and machiavellian operators in my earlier graduate days. I came across one woman who, in my honest opinion, could only be described as clinically psychotic. She was a control-freak lunatic. - Honest!

As I sit in my apartment on a late evening and look back, I am glad that I have now established a successful private practice. It was worth the effort. Given my experience, I would never, ever, work for another Podiatrist again in my life.
