    dear all,

    Dear all,

here with 21 year young farmer has attended in our hospital with this multiple sinus and discharge over the foot over plantar aspect and dorsum. dermatologist refered this pt to us for de-bulking surgery.

infection is not responding with anti fungal treatment.

but X ray shows involvement of all the tarsal bones and 3rd mT.

I am thinking of through ankle/Below knee amputation.

    any suggestion .

    suresh.

    Dr Payne,
What is your recommendation as to treatment?
Would something like daily soaks in KP or even vinegar have any effect?

Never seen or even heard of a case in Australia.
However, from what I understand, no soaks are going to come close to helping as this is a very deep infection.
