So i thought I might put out this out there to potentially help and see what others think about dropping a motorcycle on your foot. My poor GSX650F (for those that care)

Yes it was a little silly allowing over 200KG to fall onto my foot - but in hind sight it possibly helps my career/knowledge.

Firstly the accident (its pretty poor) - I was coming down a driveway at less than 5km/h when the back tyre slid and the bike fell trapping my left foot. Bike resting on my medial ankle, concrete to my lateral. I was wearing a apair of High cut NIKE basketball boots.

I only slid with the bike on top for about 5cm max. However now i have continuous pain in my lateral ankle posterior to lateral mal, what feels to be dorso-anterior ankle.

There is no bruising and very minimal swelling.

Weight-bearing alone is painful getting worse at heel lift in my anterior ankle. Pain is better if I walk only on tip toe.

Knee to wall shows no decrease in actually joint ROM however i can feel some pain and tightness posterior to medial mal when doing this test.

I plan on getting x-rays and ultrasound soon.

So just for fun if anyone wants to take a guess at what they think might be happening - and even discuss a treatment plan it could be enlightening for everyone. I know I have never come across it before. Honestly tho - I hope that the next time I see it, its on someone else.

I will update with the X-ray and ultrasound results when i can.

Heaven knows, that's why God invented x-rays.

Would suggest getting plain ankle series with additional stress DF and PF + mortise.

Wouldnt be suprised if there was a talar dome lesion as a minimum. Perhaps a Steida's process injury.

Post films. Don't worry about US at this time. Exclude # initially.
