Nerve pain-deep&stabbing- outside edge of arch

    Hello, I am hoping for some suggestions.
    PROBLEM: I have a deep, stabbing pain in the outside edge of my left foot. The pain radiates and dissipates along the outside of the ankle to the back of the knee. It hurts when I stand and walk barefooted.
    HISTORY: I have high arches & had ankle reconstructive surgery 8 years ago to repair torn Achilles tendon. I saw my foot doc 4 months ago, and I have neuropathy.
    ORTHOTICS: I religiously wear my orthotics that have a funny (half-dollar sized)...
