    Hi all,

I am Nicolyn Tan, a final year podiatry student studying in New South Wales. I am an international student and will be seeking a job when I finish in late June 2009. Am thinking of moving to Melbourne and hoping to find a job in the public system as I think it'll be a good place to start.. Please let me know if there are any vacancies available!

    Nicolyn,
Eastern Health, in Melbourne's East will have a graduate position available from July, initially for a 6 months trial, but likely to be continuing. the Position will be based at Maroondah Hospital in Ringwood providing predominantly inpatient services, supported by 4 other podiatrists at the site (EFT 2.8) and the other 7 podiatrists across the health service. The position will be advertised on the EH jobs site, for which you can register interest and seek and I will also post a link on this site. Being an international student Visa arrangements etc. would need to be in place.

    Hello back to Mr TuckerSM,

Thank you for responding to my posting so quickly. I am quite keen on securing a job within the Eastern Health organisation that you mentioned. I did check on the website for Eastern Health, but there was nothing available for podiatry grade 1 positions yet. I have registered my interest on the Eastern Health webpage already... Is there a contact person whom I should be forwarding my CV and cover letter to?

Regarding the visa requirements, I will be applying for permanent residency and will be granted a bridging visa in the interim period before I get my actual PR status, so working should not be an issue.

    Cheers,
    Nicolyn
