Podiatrist/Podiatry/Locum or Contract- Gold Coast

    About the company.

    A multi disciplinary allied health aged care provider based on the Gold Coast covering a large area up to Sunny Coast including some inland regional facilities. They have a large team but only started providing podiatry 9 months ago. The senior podiatrist will be on leave for 6 months and a replacement is required. The company services patients in there own homes, residential aged care facilities and in a flagship clinic.

    About the role.

    You will work autonomously; you will be the only podiatrist in the team. The role will vary depending on experience, if you have experience working as a senior completing admin and promotional activity you can be offered full time if you have limited experience 1-2 years then you will work as a podiatrist .75. As part of the team you will work a varied week, standard week will be 1.5 days residential aged care seeing 20-25 patients, 2 day community seeing patients in their homes and .5 day in the clinic. You will need to be a car driver but they do have a company car you can use for outreach.

    Duties

    • Working with the elderly
    • Routine nail care and assessments for high risk conditions, including management of diabetic conditions.
    • Initial patient assessment in patients own home with no supervision
    • Travel will be required on a daily basis.


    Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor of Applied Science (Podiatry)
    • AHPRA
    • Registration with the Podiatry Board of QLD
    • Working with the elderly
    • Independently working as a Podiatrist
