    I guess it is nice to have a paper that supports the theory. Even the obvious predictions from theory should be checked. Walking on an inverted surface will tend to supinate the STJ. To prevent too much supination the evertor muscles (peroneals) will have to work harder. This study also helps refute the notion that gait is "hard wired". The muscles don't fire the same way every step, because the needs of each step vary.
