Hi, all

I'm not sure if anyone has asked this, but I would really like some advice on how to enter work within the public sector for a change! It's so difficult! There are hardly any jobs there or am I missing them? I've worked in private practice for 2 years and have a range of experiences from sports biomechanics, surgery, general care, footwear, paediatrics, domicilliary, so I'd like to gain some knowledge and experience within public sector clinical cases (high risk etc.)

I'm happy to relocate, I've moved from Queensland to Victoria already. I have found many health communities, seem to only employ those with experience and Queensland Health doesn't seem to have many vacancies open at all.

Anyway, sorry for the rant. If anyone has some feedback or advice...would be greatly appreciated.

 

A lot of the health services in Victoria don't advertise in The Age etc. Some dont even use seek or my career.
Best bet is to register on the individual health service web sites for alerts.
There are quite a few jobs around, and at my health service we have employed a couple wanting to make the change from private to public.
