Hello all. I have a few locum roles I need to cover and no Podiatrists to cover them :boohoo:

The caseload is all remote community outreach work working with indigenous patients in some of northern Queenslands most remote areas. Presentations are varied and cover the whole age range however the usual high risk and chronic disease cases are to be expected.

I can offer accommodation free of charge as well as work within a friendly team of mostly temporarily relocated allied healthcare staff so it's a nice place to work and a nice team working environment.
    :drinks :welcome:

I'm looking for at least 6 to 12 months of work experience which will help with the clinical reasoning skills required to work in the role however the MDT approach and the team structure allows for good support structure.

Good communication skills and confidence is essential and flexibility will certainly help.

I can also offer free interstate travel for locums as well as a decent hourly pay rate and a $200 referral bonus to those referring friends or colleagues.

Best thing to do would be to call me on 03922375378 and I can run through the details with you. I also have PD available for anyone who would like a copy. Just let me know.

Hi Matthew and good morning. I had trouble with your phone number - it seems that there s one too many digits. I am very interested in the work that you have advertised. You may call me on 0429 913 824 if there are still some opportunities available. Thanking you,
    Jenny

    Hi Jenny,

That's my bad. For some reason I added an 8 to the end of my number.

    it's 0392237537.

I tried to call for you this morning however couldn't get through. I didn't leave a 10 second message. The lady who converts it to text sometimes struggles with my northern English accent. You are welcome to call back on the above number any time.

Thanks for your reply! Speak Soon.

    Hi Matthew,

Is this work ongoing or just for a fixed period?

    Thanks

    Hi Liz,

    Apologies for the late reply.

There are both fixed term and on going options available. They usually coincide with the financial years though given the nature of their funding. It's likely they'd offer fixed term contracts to run until the end of June then re assess things then.
