Health insurance in the US and Australia

    BUPA are at it again trying to maintain a shrinking customer base by once more pushing the " Preferred Provider" business model where the health professional provides a discount to inflate the rebate to members at no cost to BUPA.
    This is the US model where the health fund controls the quality of care.
    Here is a report and study on the US model.
    In this study medical error is the 3rd leading cause of death in the US
