Your opportunity:
The Podiatry Team at the Mackay Base Hospital is looking for a Senior Podiatrist to join their team on a Permanent Full Time (76 hours per fortnight) basis.

The Mackay district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to approximately 182,000 people in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.

Your role:
To provide a high level of Podiatry services as part of a multidisciplinary team to consumers of the Mackay Base Hospital. This position delivers clinical podiatry services based on current best practice guidelines and evidence, to consumers with chronic disease and ‘high’ risk feet including amputations, foot ulcerations, Charcot foot, peripheral neuropathy, peripheral arterial disease, gross foot deformities and other conditions in an inpatient and outpatient setting.

Your team:
Our podiatry service provides specialist assessment, treatment and advice for acute presentations, especially in relation to wound care and acute diabetic foot complications.

Conditions of employment:
