Had a patient today that had a bit of an unknown skin condition. It started at his abdomen down to his toes. The main details:
    • Age 65
    • NIDDM - control not ideal
    • Cirrhosis of the liver
Also he currently has mild tinea interdigital 3/4 + 4/5 BF.

He told me his GP thinks its verrucae and hasn't seen a dermatologist. He is really not concerned at all about it but I was more interested to see what the experts here thought. My guess would be a type of psoriasis or eczema. Maybe a mild case of Ichthyosis vulgaris???

thought it was worth sharing anyway.

p.s. sorry about the photos, only had the camera on my phone available

As if by magic ..... I reckon it`s another case of necrobiosis lipoidica diabeticorum.

Hmmm, interesting. How was this diagnosed? Does he suffer from proliferation of immature liver cells?;)

    Cheers,
