Verruca treatment after care

I went to see a chiropodist about my verruca just over two weeks ago (17 days) they removed the hard white skin covering it, and then treated it with S acid and put a large plaster over it which was kept on (and dry) for 4 days.

Since taking the plaster off it has a translucent white coating across the top of the verruca and I can see the verruca underneath. I presume this coating is the S acid, as the edges are starting to peel off.

What Id like to know...
