    Hello
I have been accepted to study PODIATRY (a foot health allied medicine speciality) at Salford uni.

I was wondering if any current undergrads can comment or paint a picture of their first year.
I previously studied in scotland where the first year is classically a bit of a muck around, I hear in england its different and considerably harder. Do many salford undergrads manage to work part time during the course, or is time just too precious ?

    Thanks

    Maxants congratulations on being accepted.

I'm not an undergrad, however it wasn't all that long ago that I was at Salford. You shouldn't have any problems working part time whilst studying Podiatric Medicine.

    Good luck

    George

ps thanks for the Podiatry explanation

Thanks Mr Flanagan and Hannah, Im glad there are others who have needed to work and its not been a problem for them.

Also - George, I just read your post about the possible clubfoot mission to Papua New Guinea, if all goes ahead will you be posting a blog or a report online ?

    Thanks

    Max

Maxants, i've just finished the 2nd year (apparently the year with the bigget work load) and managed to work full time in the 1st semester and about 24hr a week in the 2nd semester. There are other in my year doing similar hours so its certainly not impossible.

If you put the effort in you'll find the course great fun and learn lot.
