    Hello there,

I am a qualified Podiatrist working in the UK and would like to come out to New Zealand to work for a approximately one year. Would I have to undergo some sort of registration to be able to work out there? What other things would I have to consider? Also, which areas (north or south island) would be stay and find work? Including cost of living (would be wanting to rent)? I was thinking Canterbury/ Christchurch are, but open to suggestions?

    Thank you for any help,

    Lisa x

Christchurch is highly recommended - its my home town.

Suggest you contact the registration board in NZ.

    Hi Lisa

from the June edition on the apodc website.
Mt Maunganui's warmer but if your used to a UK winter then Christchurch'd be ok.

MOUNT MAUNGANUI, NZ. Are you looking to advance your career, and refresh your scenery?

How about the lifestyle capital of New Zealand, Mount Maunganui. “The Mount” is a surfing capital surrounded by beaches, but is also close to ski fields.

We are looking for some one to join our team. If you enjoy the mixed client base of a podiatry clinic with a caseload of sports, diabetes, palliative care, and minor surgery then this could be your next step. The clinic is well appointed and includes the latest gait analysis equipment. There is some travel to satellite clinics within the city.

All enquiries to the Practice Manager, Viv Way, viv@footmechanics.com or call us today on +64 7 571 5566.

CHRISTCHURCH, NZ. Podiatrist - Palliative care, orthotics and surgery.

Excellent compensation: 50% labour PLUS 50% markup on orthotic sales. All equipment and administration provided.

    Contact Debbie Willis +64-3-3434488 willispd@paradise.net.nz.

    Regards
    Greg
