is this true? either you have been very good or she has bought something of equal value for herself (which of course equals a bargain):)

that looks like a nice wee bit of bedtime reading Michael. i'm reading a decent book about the eagles just now. much less likely to lead to nightmares!
you heard of these guys. i only came across them earlier this yearhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29Rjh5BSZz0

    cheers
    JB

  4. HIYA JB catchy - great name as well. Bit of Steven Tyler in the front man ( maybe it is the pants), will be a few more you tube listens I think.

If you want some nightmares from reading matter along these lines try "scar tissue" by Anthony Kiedis of the red hot chilli peppers, very rock'n'roll, I could only read a few pages at a time, guess i am not that hard core

  6. I recommend the ´the dirt´ Motley crue for bed time rock n roll reading .

    Captain Patte Welcome New Poster

I'd have to say I'm proud of the choices put forward so far by fellow Pod brethren. :p
As for me, I'd have to start with the obvious:
Rolling stones- Paint it black (as prev. mentioned, but deserves all the mentioning ever!)
    The Doors- LA woman

And a couple of new ones:
Black rebel motorcycle club- Love burns
Tame impala- solitude is bliss (well...anything by them)
Love of Diagrams- pyramid (best little known melbourne band ever, check them out)

    Rock on Pods!

G'day there michael, Billy's best for me was "Mama"
My wife and I went to 'Long way to the top' touring show ~ 10 years ago and when Billy came on I along with what felt like most of the blokes in the hall had to grab their good wives as they instinctively? moved forward, pitiful, pitiful display of uncontrolled female lust!
I did love Lobby loyde, guitarist at one time for the Aztecs, especially when he formed 'lobby loyde & the Coloured Balls", got only one of their cd's but it gets flogged, depending on my mood, all the best, mark

Can you get G.O.D. my favourite, lobby a tad more basic, not finess'ed as most of the aforementioned performers.

i've had a total afternoon/early evening of music after reading this thread today (after I got home at some minutes past 4.51pm Kerryn). We all have our own tastes but isn't there so much good music and there must be an infinite amount of good music yet to be discovered/made.
p.s. Kerryn M. is my current pod in charge and the best bloody boss i've ever had in 36 odd years of work and I'm never on POD aRENA during working hours ex cept at lunchtime....and morning tea...and afternoon snack....and that break you have just before lunch when you're so excited about the lunch coming up that you have to have a break to compose yourself for that big pre-lunch effort... and....

  12. Anything for you Sir.

  17. I hope your giving him a rounded education.

If my son every picks up a guitar he will have to be able to rip this. If I had to choose a song to be played at my funeral now this is it and a question I´ve asked myself a few times

Heres a few versions if Jack wants to look at one of the most influential bands of the birth of a little music sound which came out of Seattle.

The pixies - original version - where is my mind

Placebo cover - where is my mind with Frank Black a ripper live version

James Blunt Cover - Where is my mind it´s ok

Kings of Leon Cover - Where is my mind

Bassnector remix - where is my mind

Nada Surf cover - Where is my mind

City Wolf cover - Where is my mind - sound track observe and report

The feelers Cover - live where is my mind

and these two are bit more relaxed versions

Noiserv cover - Where is my mind

Maxence Cyrin Piano Cover - Where is my mind

Doing files listening to you Tube - Files can wait.
