  3. If you liked those 2 I would recommend buying the CD´s great to play loud until the wife turns it down in my house.

    or as an old music show host from Australia would say " do yourself a favour and go out at buy this album"

    Now I can`t take credit for this contribution....my 14 year old son Jack (who thinks this thread "rocks") came up with these;

    XENTRIX - For Whose Advantage?

    don`t think much of them myself.....kids today, eh?

  10. I´m sure JB will have a list a mile long the way he was tailking about him in the N´s.

    I do think he is love or hate type artist-I´m in the love side for anyone who cares, but thought I´d leave him for JB

    It must be Z day

    1973, the end of the Byrds, the start for AC/DC, just dropped out of my first uni course, end of vietnam fiasco, ruptured my acl, incredible dutch lady was 'messing with me', was as low as i've ever been,

    and then ZZ Top "le grange",

    the youtubes aren't worth it, buy the "Tres Hombres" album!
    they apparently lifted the blues "lick" off either John Lee Hooker or Slim Harpo, who both of course are essential listening!

    Apologies Bel, we of the southern hemisphere always seem to be a "step in front" of them of the old countries. Just youthful enthusiasm maybe?

    And if you can't recall it just give me a tingle, Australia 02 6281 5534, and i'll hum it for you!

  24. Rock Triva...... The wife got AC/DC ´s history from me for xmas this year. Not sure if others have read it, but yesterday on the way home she was reading and started laughing.

    ACDC whole lot of rosie was written by Bon Scott. Rosie was a 185 cm 120 kg redhead from Tasmania...... Bon said when I saw her I knew that I could not say no....

    another bit of rock trivia
    Bono woke up one day on tour in America and had an idea for a song but thought it might be a bob dylan song so he phoned him up and asked if he could come round and play it for him. Dylan said it wasnt one of his but it could be if he wanted, so dylan helped him finish it and the result was ' love rescue me'

    also type in NPR music into itunes and you get loads of free concerts. some are fairly poor but the likes of dinosaur jr, arcade fire, belle and sebastian etc are no bad. and they are free.

    cheers
