Can anyone help with these symptoms?

Man aged 56 presents with no pain but a sensation of walking on water in the forefoot. It started on his right foot and he had a ultrasound scan which revealed no abnormalities, the symptoms resolved.
Now he has the same sensation in his left foot, continuously for three weeks.
CT scan again shows no abnormalities.
His health is good and his medical history is unremarkable.
