All, I had an idea last night about trying to get Podiatry Arena involved in helping a charity I support called Feet First http://feetfirstworldwide.com/ I was thinking about how we as a community might be able to help raise funds for this worthwhile cause. When I got into work today, I had a look at the Feet First website and noticed they have a way of generating funding through users clicking on their search engine here: http://www.everyclick.com/feet-first-worldwide/CT17193 Now, I'm not clever enough to know how things like that work, but it seems to me a like a good way to help this charity since the majority here on Podiatry Arena obvioulsy spend too much time playing with their computers.

Any other way we could help, Craig? Link to their website etc.. ????

  2. Good idea. I know Steve and the work he does overseas - a very worthwhile cause and a really decent bloke. Already support this and would think it a good idea if PA were involved.

  3. Agreed. Can we get a banner on here, Craig? Could Feet First be the official charity supported by Podiatry Arena? As I type this I've got a banner for the RSPB (bird conservation) on the page, while I'm all for saving birds, I'm more interested in treating clubfoot.

Great website that - earn per click.

Joined and using it as my searching tool. Will also be looking at the other things on offer soon.

    Thanks Simon

  5. Thanks, Robin. Funny how we mellow with age. And I don't care who wants to stare these days... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WX3hv2LQGp8 All over the stuffies tonight.

I thought I would bump this thread as it is a really good cause and a great idea.

I use the FEET FIRST charity search engine for all my searches now - it is my default webpage/browser and it costs nothing to us. It is a yahoo powered search so not as good as google IMO but OK for basic searches

Just to let you know the scores on the leaderboard for how much is being earned. (It come up as a league table of who has most recently used it and how much they have earned.)

At the moment, I have earned 16.8p in searches, 3.3p ahead of Dr Spooner

    Join up people;)

  7. I'm surprised by the apparent lack of interest here

    Mike Patten is awesome

Although looking back, it does appear that he took some considerable influence from Anthony Keidis and the RHCP

This was all I needed... something else which illustrates just how much time I spend online. Finally maybe some good can come of it.

I've noticed the last couple of times I've used it that there was no increase at all.

Then looked today and I've gone down to £1.70 (from over £2.00)

Does the charity definately get this money? And if so why has it all gone down?

    Who knows? We don`t appear to be going great guns with this, do we? I reckon Marks` idea of using his calendars to raise charitable funds is spot on;

Can`t believe I`m thinking about next years calendar already...

    Hi Mark,

Thanks again for the Calendar, which arrived yesterday. July reminds me of my "summer" holiday in Stornoway. Beautiful, yet windy (shut up, Del ).

As you won`t accept any payment, I`ll make a donation to Feet First.

    Cheers,:drinks

I will just add , I will not cast aspersions on your digestive gases and the frequent escape thereof Mrs Longhurst, even though your inference suggests I would:rolleyes:

Perhaps you will show me your copy of the calender coz it would appear mine has been "lost in the post" AGAIN !!;)
    Cheers
    D;)
