Forgive me for being a bit of a simpleton but I am not a podiatrist and my understanding of foot biomechanics is very limited.

The point of this post is I have been trying to fix that problem. I have gone over my anatomy and physiology books and my college biomechanics books but none of them seem do a very good job with the foot.

So does any one have any suggestions on books, lectures, seminars, blogs, or any other information resources I can look into that will help me get a solid understanding of the basic foot biomechanics.

Jake, are you related to the Howard Marshall that founded KLM lab? I see in your signature KLM lab.

Are you familiar with Kevin Kirby's books? I think there are several threads here on the arena that discuss indispensable texts.

Dr. Marshall was my grandfather, and yes its the same KLM.

I have, of course, heard of Mr. Kirby though I am not familiar with his books. I will see if I can find the threads you mentioned.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

Another vote for Kevin's books. I've said it before and I'll say it again - most used books on my shelf by a mile. Go back to them time and time again. Recommend them to everyone. Even got one of the Physio's I work with currently loving Volume 1.

Get all 3 from here. You won't regret it.

    Ian,

Thank you as well, I will save the site info. I found another thread from Dr. Kirby that provides a link for a file sharing site that might have a lot of it for free. I put an email into him about getting the password so I will see what comes of that.

Maybe Ill buy them as a Xmas present for myself.

Thanks for putting up the link for purchasing those books. After yabbling about buying these for a while now I've decided to treat myself after your handy post. Cheers!
