This is a cool app from the BBC, you enter your height and weight and it matches you to an elite athlete at the 2012 Olympic games

Mark Baeir - German BMX specialist - apparently he benches 220lb. We could be twins

95kg and 175 cm (just) > Karen Gallardo, Chilean female discus thrower????
thanks simon i feel realllll good now

  5. Cool, as a rower I can obviously out bench all comers (except the professional benchers) when are they going to make benching an Olympic sport?

....she looks a bit like me too, eerie!

  7. Yeah, but can you grow a stronger beard than her, mark?

As a former collegiate rower: when it came tme to talk about bench press we would all go and hide or brag about our 440 or mile times. When it came time to discuss runnng times, then we would start to talk about bench press.

  9. And who do you match with in the olympics, Eric?

Oddly enough, hockey was the only `game` I enjoyed at school....when I was there.

de VECCHI Manuel De Vecchi, Italian BMX.

I can see me and Robin hurtling around the Isle of Man any time soon. Mind you I do like Italy so maybe its a sign to move there.

I'm afraid to look. I want it to be a rower, but I'm significantly heavier than my college weight.

  13. This is ridiculous, I race BMX and I come out as a rower. You guys enjoy wearing long coats and shooting english longbows respectively, yet come out as BMX'ers :bash:;):drinks

Eric- Greco- Roman wrestling? Shot-put? Hammer?

I'll have you know that I also like wearing short jackets, so long as it is made in tweed.

I have been known to go on a bicycle. Always felt I sported the "Granville" look well

    Yep, good point.
Nice to know that I could probably get a job in the Chilean womens discus team. Wonder how much they pay. Mr Payne, are there any members of the Chilean womens discus team currently active members of PA? Would you mind asking them what they're on please.

Tremenous I'm a hammer thrower according to the bbc but perhaps maradonna post retirement would be a better descriptor

I didn't like the 'male' option I was matched with as I would look daft in Speedos!

However, as I am only 7lbs heavier than Jessica Ennis I decided she is closest to my body type. Imagine my surprise when I told Himself this fact & he gave a derisory snort & chuckled into the Barnsley Chronicle. Just wait 'til he sees my abs in my racing pants & vest. :boxing:

Heres something , maybe Australia will see the next elite sprinters yet.

Usain Bolt won the 100m in 9.63 sec 23.4mph or 37.66 kph ( according to my web search)

    Cheers

Apparently after Super Saturday, there has been a rush of physiotherapy referrals to hospitals for men complaining of "Ennis Elbow"

So much activity over 7lbs of abs!

    Men!

No pleasing some. I too can chuck a hammer. Grant you not a discus or leap a pointless hurdle. I can however leap a bbq to achieve fridge prior to door closure in less than 3.8seconds.

Abs! Pher! My Watneys party 7 is outstanding.

    No gold?

    Whatever.
