Is This the Running Shoe of 2014? this question was just proposed by Sneaker Report.

The adidas adizero Adios Boost 2 has now been used for the five fastest marathons of all time and has been worn by the winners of 22 of the major marathons this yr.

The shoe is cushioned and has a 10.4mm drop (ie its not minimalist and its not 0 drop)

Of course the fan boys will point out that they only wore them because they were sponsored by adidas. They are sponsored by adidas but to claim they only wore them as they were sponsored is to insult their intelligence. At that level, they have a team of scientists and sports medical professionals around them - a lot of thought and consideration goes into the decision making process about what shoes they going to wear. Do you really think they randomly run in whatever the sponsor gives them?

  2. Probably it is the "Running Shoe of 2014" for 125-135 pound elite male runners who race marathons at sub-5 minute mile pace. For the other 99.9% of runners, I wouldn't call it the "Running Shoe of 2014".

They have a pretty small platform, and a narrow fit. It's tough to get a lot of feet into these shoes.

    I agree Kevin,

This is a Racing shoe, not a running shoe.

They're only really designed to take one foot at a time
