As I mentioned in another thread, during my freshman year at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1980, we formed a large running club called the "Pod Squad". As a fund raiser, we designed and had printed a four-color "CCPM Pod Squad Running Club" T-shirt which I have attached below along with a young podiatry student, yours truly, proudly wearing the shirt after a road race in July 1980.

I was able to recently acquire one of these 35 year old t-shirts on the internet (it's amazing what you can find with Google!) and photographed it for all of you to see. I'm thinking of having this T-shirt reprinted. The logo on the back of the t-shirt is "Podiatrists Save Soles". Anyone interested in a brand new CCPM Pod Squad T-shirt??

  2. I'd be up for a t-shirt. However, I'm more interested in how you managed to father two children after wearing those shorts :morning: The 80's have so much to answer for, tight short shorts being just one thing. BTW, you want to get some proper running shoes- minimalist is soooo last year.

  3. Those shorts were considered "cool-looking" back in 1980. All the runners wore them...Sub-4's....they were called. Funny how styles change. Still wish I had those legs and young body from back then (23 years old)...:drinks

It's ok - I managed to father two children spending most of that era wearing a drysuit!
