I'm Deborah and i graduated from the University of Salford this summer and my proudest moment was getting my Health Professions Council registration on 5 August.

I've been reading this site for a couple of years now and finally joined a short while ago. Topics are varied and i love to read the different threads that interest me. I've mastered the NHS job website now and have had 4 interviews but no job yet but i'm staying positive and hopeful that my ship will come sailing in any moment now! :sinking:

So hello to you all. It's great to finally be on here.

    Hi Deborah,

:welcome: aboard & thank you for joining :D

    CONGTATULATIONS on passing you degree.

I was fortunate to have spent a short time at Hope hospital (only a day though but amazing to see their multidisciplinary foot specialist team at work). Do Salfords Pod' students spend any time there on placement?

Good luck in your career & in your job search. :drinks

    Mandy.

Thank you very much :D Strange that the first reply i have received should be from a pod in Oz....my partner has just emigrated to Melbourne and lives near the corner of Toorak Road/St Kilda Road. I'm hoping to join him in October next year so i've just sent off my Victorian podiatry registration.

Hello. Some of our lecturers work at Hope - high risk diabetes patients often with a particular emphasis on tissue viability and woundcare. Multidisciplinary foot specialist teams are emphasised within our last year of rotational placements and all students will have worked in one. I didn't work at Hope, but i encountered similar experiences at the wonderful Manchester Royal Infirmary's Diabetes Centre and at Stepping Hill Hospital. Deborah.

I'm certain i'm going to love being a podiatrist. I've come to the profession in the middle of my life and i've no doubt it was the best decision that i've ever made :D

Yes...Australia ...very exciting prospect...although a little daunting too. Just going to focus on working in the UK first. Thank you for saying hello. Deborah.
