50 year old male 90kg. Middle distance runner and goes for 4 x 10 mile runs a week.
8 Months ago he started with Left sided heel pain, usually on a morning after a run and more recently shortly after resting for more than 30 minutes.
On examination while palpating along the central and medial facia from heel to arch he reports significant pain and jumps.
There is a good range of ankle motion and patient does regular calf stretches with weekly sports massages.
Reduced ROM at both 1st rays.
FPI is +6 for both feet
    RCSP 6° everted
    NCSP neutral
Supination resistance moderate for both feet
plantar fasciitis in the left foot.
What Orthotic would you suggest please?

    Hi Lee,
I would probably only use an orthotic when he is not running.
If his plantar fascia is so sensitive an orthotic may exacerbate his symptoms with heavy impact during running.
At 90kg he would need a semi rigid orthotic with a plantar fascia groove.
I would tell him to give the running a rest or he will never get better.
    Hope that helps

That's great, I thought about lifting the heel and stopping the pronation also?

    Heel lift should work well.
What shoe is he running in?
Hoka can provide a a higher heel elevation and there are plenty of shoes to prevent pronation.
