Foot characteristics and lower limb osteoarthritis

  4. And what does the current best evidence with regard to treating medial knee O/A with foot orthoses tell us?
     
  5. Thats along the line of what I was thinking

    Medial knee O/A = Pronated foot type according to the study - which if my understanding is correct, COP in the knee joint should be lateral.

    Treatment - lateral wedge ie pronate to foot more to get COP in the knee to move more lateral ???

    Is it not more likely that the internal rotation from the tibia has pronated the foot due to a proximal muscle weakness from the OA pain ???

    Did it yesterday. Client felt less discomfort in the medial knee immediately!

    most of the times distal things have n effect on the proximal ones . so there r more chances that o.a. med. compt. may b a result of pronated foot
