Orthoses and Proteus Syndrome

    I have a 28 year old male patient with Proteus Sydrome. He gets activity-related metatarsalgia and generalised foot pain.

    Photos of his lower extremities are available here: <http://www.perthfootankle.com.au/proteus/>. As can be seen from these, he has quite a bit of excess soft tissue.

    Any advice on what sort of orthoses might be helpful to him would be gratefully received. He has custom footwear in good condition.

  2. I'd go for a weightbearing /semiweigthbearing full contact blown foam device.
