    Howdy everybody!

Does anyone know of any accelerated way for a DPM to become a C.Ped? I see several courses listed online to become a C.Ped but I somehow think my $260K education should qualify me to take the certification exam.

Does anyone know more about this?

Thank you for your time and I look forward to your response!

    Sincerely,
    Luke HUnter

    Luke,

There are 3 learning levels of training to sit for the C.Ped exam. DPM's can bypass the first level of training. You may be able to document the mandated 1000 lab hours experimentally via your practice experience? I would contact ABCOP.org

    Good luck,

    David

The above link will help you gain the info you need. Look on the PFA site as well.
Being a Podiatrist helps, but there is a lot to know if you intend on learning on making all the different shoe modifications yourself as well as learning the art of fabricating custom orthotics.
