Please be advised that finally "Acupuncture for Podiatrists" will be presented in Melbourne. Over 180 Podiatrists have participated in this workshop in other Australian cities.

The workshop will be run over two days on the 3rd and 4th of October at Latrobe University.

This workshop is designed for the practical use of acupuncture by Podiatrists in the treatment of commonly presented podiatric conditions and the integratin of this technique with other treatment modalities.

All workshop content and registration information is at this website
    http://www.artisanorthoticlab.com.au

Earlybird closes 1/9/08. Limited places (20) available as this is a practical workshop.
As of 20/8 the workshop is more than half full.

A refresher workshop will also be presented on the 5th of October for Podiatrists who have participated in the workshop in other Australian cities. All details on the webpage.

    Cheers

    Hi Shane,

I know that this is an old post but I am keen to do an acupuncture course for Podiatrists as soon as possible.
Can you please let me know when the next workshops are coming up, especially in Brisbane and then Sydney?
Do you also do any myofascial trigger point training?
I am just starting up on my own and want to be able to have a wider scope of practice.
I will also be interested in talking to you about your orthotic manufacture.

    Hi Footsteps2,

I'm at present negotiating for my next workshop to be in Hobart perhaps in October, which is still handy for Melbourne.
I can put you onto the early notification list if you pass on your private email address. You can do that by emailing me at: 2shane@westnet.com.au

I am also considering Brisbane later in the year.
I'd be very happy to have a chat about orthotic manufacture and for this just phone me on a Wednesday between 1130 and 1700 your time on 08 94702639 or
    1800 647022

    Thanks for your queries
    Cheers
    Shane

    Thanks Shane,

Brisbane would be really good although I do want to get on a course as soon as possible, will look into flights to Hobart...how long is the course? Do you have a course description you could e mail me or is the info on your website. Could you please put me down provisionally for Hobart and let me know if you do Brisbane around the same time as that is a lot nearer as I am in North Queensland.

I will give you a call on Wednesday.
    Many thanks for your help
    Liz

    Hi Liz

Sorry, I thought you were in Melbourne!:morning:

I need your email address and then can put you onto the early notification list.
Can;t really register you without a confirmed date yet.

There is information about the workshop on the website, http://www.artisanorthoticlab.com.au
Obviously there is only info there about previous workshops which I've left there so that I can easily edit it when the next workshop is confirmed.
    The workshop takes two days.
I hope this helps and ask amything else you're not sure of.

    Cheers
    Shane

I use needle and electric acupuncture and also biopuncture. I would find it impossible to practice not doing so! If there is a shortage of tutors in Australia i would be delighted to come out and lecture.

    Dear Shane,
I am in independant practice in Britain. My biopuncture technique is hopefully, similar to that of other biopuncturists.

    Best wishes

    Hi Colin,

I actually do not do biopuncture so was keen on you describing what you do, not only for myself but also for any others who are unaware of the technique.
Maybe there is a worksop in it to add anextra practical skill to the armoury!

    Cheers

    Dear Shane,

Start by considering the work of Jan Kersshot MD. and see how you go from there.
