Advanced local anaesthetics course

OMG is there one advanced local anaesthetics course in the UK???
I've tried contacting the society, university's and people I know who lecture and they've come up with nothing. Can anyone please help me out ?:bang:

I dont know how "advanced " you want to go or how "advanced" the course is but I understand it is a Masters module.
Perhaps a phone call to find out ??

I did a course with masterclass presentations in Tamworth you can google them or they are at masterlearner.co.uk

Thanks for that. That particular course only seems to have dates for 2009, but I'll ring them up tomorrow about he masters course, cheers.

 

The BSc course I did only taught us how to anaesthetise toes and I really need to learn how to do the whole foot ie) tibial block

 

I know there is a course running in May /June this year, gimme a PM and i'll see if I can sort out the person to speak too about it.

May be worth contacting University of Brighton as they've been quite helpful with my back to practice. Also just noticed on their website that it says CPD courses of 1-2 days can be arranged to suit particular requests.

Which particular elements of local anaesthesia are you keen to learn about? And what would you like to learn from such a course? Possibly the easiest way to do this (and least immediately costly) would be to contact your local podiatric surgery department and arrange to spend some time there. I am sure they would be able to help you out with local infiltrations, ankle blocks, popliteal blocks, etc...

Masterclass ( Martin Harvey) are running a one day advanced LA on 25th August at Tamworth, if that's any help. But maybe you've found that by now.
