After 3 wks of Orthotics, have small itchy bumps in both arches, that are now painful

    Was prescribed over-the-counter Orthotics and after three or four weeks of wearing them, I experienced very itchy bumps in the arch area of each foot. Those bumps are now very painful.

    (1) does anyone know what this is called, and also
    (2) should I make the Orthotics out for now, until my next visit with the podiatrist?
