"August 8th – 14th is Rothbarts Foot Awareness Week. It draws attention to the work of Professor/Dr. Brian A. Rothbart and his discovery of Rothbarts Foot, which has been identified as a frequently overlooked cause of chronic muscle and joint pain."

So, let me get this right. First he names a foot type after himself and now he names a week after himself. Should not people that do this be treated with contempt?

"What makes my insoles (Rothbart Proprioceptive Insoles) so different from all the hundreds of insoles being prescribed or sold is:

They are used specifically and only to treat and eliminate the constant pain originating from the Rothbarts Foot and the PreClinical Clubfoot Deformity (common inherited foot structures that cause chronic muscle and joint pain).

They are custom designed and fabricated for the patient only after running complex tests and proprietary computer analyses (that I invented) to determine which of the two foot structures you have.

Rothbart Proprioceptive Insoles can only be competently used by a physician who is fully trained in my therapy."

I lifted this from the above link; says it all doesn't it.

His insole is the only one out of the myriads on the market. He has devised 2 means of identifying abnormal foot function ( and you can bet your bottom dollar, EVERYBODY will be a sufferer), and that you probably have to pay him lots of money to become a subscriber!

Your all just jealous that you dont have an awareness week named after you, he has change the industry for the.......ahh who am l kidding, giant (insert rude word here) who in their right mind would name a week after themselves. its one thing to have some do it for you but by you:wacko:

  8. I think its inspired!!

I got the email circular, I didn't post it because I didn't want to draw attention to Rothbart during |Rothbart awareness week.

The scale of the man's ego is matched only by the scope of his marketing expertize. He is, in a specific and rarefied way, an evil genius! His target audience is (obviously) those who know NOTHING about biomechanics (because anyone who does can identify that "rothbarts foot type" is in fact forefoot varus and that the test for it is loose enough to incorperate forefoot supinatus).

    However

If you've not come across these two it really looks like he has made a breakthrough, and he is behaving as someone who believes he has, up to having an "awareness week"! He is consistant within his own BS, which is rare.

Perhaps pod arena should hold a "snake oil awareness week".
