    Now hear this.

I did a study day in Southampton earlier in the year and a number of people who wanted to go, could'nt. So I said I'd pop down and see them our of the kindness of my hypertensive heart. Just for them.

They told a few other people...

Long story short, I'm going to be running a very informal study day coving the basic (very) principles of biomechanics, assessment, SALRE, sagittal plane and a few other models.

I may even throw in my lecture on heuristics at the end of the day.

Its going to be in a pub. Thats what I mean by informal. We have a function room.

Not going to take bookings, but anyone who fancies it I'll be charging £25 "on the door".

This is an experiment to see if the informal type of session works. There will be beer. And Physics. And lots of practical demo, as well as the standard lectures.

So anyone with nothing to do on Saturday the 4th and who has £25 to spare, We will be at The king alfred pub On Saturday the 4th December from 10am until 6pm. Well, The powerpoints stop at 6 anyway. The Social aspect may continue a while longer.

As I say, this is informal so I don't need bookings, but if you think you may be coming if you could pop a post on this thread just so I have an idea of numbers.

This is a day for anyone who likes A: Pubs or B: biomechanics. I'm trying to emulsify my hobbies. :drinks

    Regards
    Robert

Rob, I'd imagine you'd need help carrying all your contraptions through customs so if you needed a bitch for a transatlantic trip them I'm calling shotgun. (Canada is high up on my 'to visit' list)

  5. Cool. I like sherpas!

Pay my flights Graham, and I'm there!

I might just do that. Issacs and spooner maybe. One day social conference with benefits.

  7. I'm up for that. But it's got to be in your basement: "Basement Biomechanics TM" I like it!

No worries there! It's 2500sq/feet with nine foot ceilings. give a good excuse to tidy up!

  9. Basement Bar Biomechanics?

Seriously, that sounds like a Go-er. You set it up, we'll be there.

    OK!

Probably Sept/Oct next year. No bugs and you won't freeze your asses off!

    See what I can do!

I'll contact you both privately on this!

  11. Thats Ok. Simon hales from the howling wasteland north of the watford gap and thus is well hard ;)

  12. Graham

    Graham RIP

OK then. Come in February. -35c with wind chill factor to -50ish!

  13. **** that, I want to come in the summer- shut up, Robeer. I'm freezing my tits off down in Plymouth and it's only about -1c.

  14. He may not be THAT hard. I Dunno. Simon?

Its quite chilly here just now! 1 degree and chance of 1-5 cm of snow this weekend I'll have you know! So we're no strangers to extreme weather in Kent!!

  15. Graham

    Graham RIP

Extreme! Ha! We'll get between 6' to 9' of snow between now and March. Most of it won't go. The City trucks snow out to dumps where it will be until July/August. I'll be driving my tractor on the river to make a hockey rink. Last year was quite mild averaging around -15c.

4x4 monster truck with huge lugged tires. It's Fun time!

I`m getting loads of email enquiries about this for some reason  I just happened to mention it to a few friends in my neck of the woods.....

So, Robert, can you please confirm whether this is still going ahead, please?

    Cheers,
    Bel
