    The actual study protocol is not bad. I did have a couple of questions re, for eg, sample size calculation and blinding and they did the wrong analysis; but what they actually did was pretty good.

    The problem with it was in the approach they took. Because there is so much rhetoric and propaganda we have to rely on good independent science.

    The fundamental approach to good science is:
    I am going to compare the outcomes between doing x and doing y.

    What the authors in this study did is:
    I am so convinced x is right I am going to prove it is better than y.

    That was the problem with the study and its write up. x may or may not be better than y, its just how you approach the science that is important
