    Dear Podiatry Arena Members.
I am an orthopaedic surgeon who works and lives in Istanbul TURKEY. I am interested in custom foot orthotics. As you all know well that I could not find valuable data from orthopaedics text books. So I start to search fundamentals of custom insole making on internet. So I found following books and I bought them.
1- Foot and lower extremity biomechanics I-II-III Kevin A. Kirby
2- Neale's Disorders of the foot.
3- Benno M. Nigg biomechanics of sport shoe
4- Recent Advances in Orthotic Therapy Paul Scherer, DPM, MS
Any of you can help me how you decide degrees of forefoot and rearfoot posting in clinical setting?
Is there any book that can learn from it?
There is not any podiatry school in Turkey so is there any course or educational program that I can participate?

It's a little hard giving advice not knowing your knowledge base. For some advice on forefoot posting (assuming you know what an intrinsic forefoot valgus post is) see the maximum eversion height thread on this website. Rearfoot post is not really a matter of degrees, but a matter of the shape of the heel cup. Kevin's JAPMA article on the medial heel skive is valuable.
