    Hi,

I was just wondering, what are the protocols for begining a research paper?

I have a field in mind that I would like to do more research in and think that I may be able to contibute to the podiatry world with the knowledge that I have, but I would also like to know how to go about starting a research paper...

I how a little about it but wondered if I could do this on my own, or do I have to go through a university, and do a masters???

    Many thanks in advance...

Here attached is a guide, as good a place as any to start.

Have you done a degree or HND or diploma or something in the field you were thinking of, its good to have a reasonable understanding of your subject so that you know what questions to ask and how to discern what is not good information.

Can you give us a clue to what subject you want to research?

    regards Dave Smith

Oh, just looked at your profile, I see you qualified in podiatry at La Trobe. So of course you will have all the skills you need to start research, so why all the naive questions here? Why not go and see Craig Payne, although I would have thought he would have given you a good grounding in research methods and protocols already.

    regards Dave

    Thanks David,

I have graduated from La Tobe and during the course they integrated a lot of the research methods and how to perform research... I wasn't interested at the time, but now I am... I'm digging up all my research lectures. Craig Payne was going to be my next point of call.

    Thankyou for the guidelines!
