    hi anyone used this prior to painful soft tissue work
    topical cream with lidocaine 2.5% and 2.5% prilocaine applied usual way with op-site

    hi
    emla is indicated for topical skin application prior to injection.
    it is pointless (pardon the pun) in LA due to the fact we are injecting in only useful for taking out.
    better idea is using 2x 2mil syringes with 30 short and 30 long raise a bleb each side just under the skin wait 3-5 min the use long slowly still hurts but hell we are human!!

    was the idea of using denela for things like painful vp and sulci clearing and seems to reduce the pain in these.

    Any one use emla for this type of work?
