i have arthritis in both big toes also a piece of bone floating in both probably a bone spur that broke off. My right one gets pretty painful but not all the time. It is bone on bone and has bone spurs. The foot surgeon suggested fusion saying it would get rid of the pain, it’s done all the time and I would be able to do about everything still. I am a golfer and also work on my feet plus in a rock band. I do not want it to effect my lifestyle so not sure about the whole fusion thing....
