Athlete wounds

    Hi there, as a third year podiatry student I wish to go down to London during the marathon (or any other long distance running event in the uk) and observe the blisters and wound management of the participants. If anyone has any information on how I could get a step further to achieving this it would be much appreciated. Georgina

    Gina,
    I would contact the event coordinator,he / she will put you in contact with the medical coordinator of the event. They are almost always looking for volunteers to staff the medical team. Good luck!
